I started off 2018 wanting to see more projects through to the finish line. My biggest goal of this year is to finally start releasing all the music that has been floating around for the past few years.

That said, this is a brand new song that I wrote and recorded in early January while on a 3 day art-making getaway with a friend. I had a bunch of big bad cymbals in my studio, none of which I liked. I decided to stack them all up in 2 piles on the stands and try playing them that way. What had been previously unusable was now something dirty and crunchy and...usable.

In this spirit I mounted two 18" crash cymbals on the hi-hat stand as a joke, and then ended up loving that too.

I recorded these vocals in my apartment in Brooklyn this week while feverish with the flu.

I mixed it quickly on Thursday of this week and I want it to be out in the world now.
